SAFEGUARDING OUR CHILDREN

This is a constant priority at Mount Pleasant.  Our full policy can be found on our website.  All staff have been trained in safeguarding procedures.  The Head Teacher is responsible for safeguarding.  Implementation of our child protection policy may require referral to the statutory child welfare agencies if it is felt that a child is at significant risk of harm.  This is done solely in the best interests of the child.  Where there is a concern we will, in general, discuss this with the family and where possible seek agreement to making the referral.
