ANY UNWANTED BOOK’S – MRS MORTIMERS CLASS 1M

New Year Book Collection

If you are having a New Years clean out and you are getting rid of any books, we would love to take them off your hands. We are looking for good quality, unwanted books in good condition to rejuvenate and refresh our Book Corners in school.

If you do have any books to donate, please drop them off to your child's class teacher.

ROGERSTONE RANGERS

If anyone has a 5-6 year old child looking to play football, there are spaces available to start this week in the Rogerstone Rangers Under 6 training squad that is being run by Sports Xtra GB.

The sessions are delivered by a professional coach who is working with parent volunteers ready for the group to become the Rogerstone Rangers Under 7 team for the 2022/23 season.

Sessions are at Rogerstone Primary on Saturdays 9am-10am and bookings can be made here https://bit.ly/RoggieUnder6. Places are limited so please book or get in touch if you have any questions.

If you have any questions please email alex.lock@sports-xtra.com or text/whatsapp 07939211064

Covid 19

I ask all families to work with school to make sure we can operate fully and keep school a safe environment. Please help us do this by making sure you contact school immediately if there is a case of COVID-19 in your household. Please email mountpleasant.primary@newport.gov.uk to support us with the ‘warn and inform’ process. By doing this staff will be able to look out for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 within our school community and act accordingly.

Please help us operate fully and keep COVID-19 out of our school. It is important we all fully understand that any student or staff member with any of the three symptoms of COVID-19 e.g. new persistent cough, fever and/or loss of taste or smell, should not attend school but should self-isolate, arrange a PCR test and notify the school of this. We are asking all families to take a cautious approach.
