Friday 21st May

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Macey on the birth of your beautiful baby boy!

It gives me great pleasure to share some very exciting news! Mr Macey has become the proud father of a beautiful baby boy. Baby Rowan David Macey was born on Saturday 15th May at 5.43am weighing in at a healthy 8lbs and 6oz. He is absolutely beautiful, congratulations to Mr and Mrs Macey and big sister (Mila) too.

Mr Macey has started his paternity leave this week, we are very lucky to have Mrs Fiona Walker covering for two weeks whilst he is off. I’m sure you’ll all make Mrs Walker very welcome during her time at Mount Pleasant.

S         SAFE: Keep safe by remembering never to give out personal information, such as your name, email, phone number, home address or school name to people who you don’t trust online.

M        Meeting:  Meeting someone you have only been in touch with online can be dangerous. Only do so with your parent/care’s permission and only then when they can be present.

A         Accepting: Accepting emails, IM messages or opening files, picture or texts from people you don’t know or trust can lead to problems as they may contain viruses or nasty messages.

R          Reliable: Someone online may be lying about who they are, also information you find on the internet may not always be reliable.

T          Tell: Tell your parent/carer or a trusted adult if someone or something makes you feel uncomfortable or worried.

I hope this advice will benefit you and your family and create a safer environment for you all. Please feel free to contact school if you have any queries, questions or comments or for further information.

This will be communicated with you via text to parents in the first instance and followed up with a letter from school regarding the situation.

COVID-19 reminder

It is essential that any pupil, teacher or staff member who have COVID-19 symptoms, or who share a household with someone who has symptoms, does not attend the school / setting and follows the self-isolation guidance and access a test.

THE MAIN SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19:-

a high temperature: this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
a new, continuous cough: this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste: this means you’ve noticed you cannot        smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.
