Welcome Back

Happy New Year to you all! I’m sure that 2024 is going to be a fantastic year for the MPPS community. It’s been wonderful to see our pupils return to school. They look happy, healthy and wearing their uniform with pride. We look forward to working with you over the next term to provide the best education for our pupils.

Please help us by making sure you book school meals on parent pay, this will ensure that your child receives the meal they request and help us reduce food waste too. As the weather is extremely cold at the moment pupils will need appropriate coats, hats, scarfs and gloves, if these could all be labelled we’d appreciate it.

I’d also like to take the opportunity to let you know some exciting news. Mrs Mortimer and Miss Gilfillan are both expecting babies this year, we are very excited to hear this wonderful news and look forward to meeting the new arrivals much later in the school year.

Happy Retirement Mrs Grant 

I’d like to inform you that after 25 years of service Mrs Grant (Business Manager) has taken early retirement. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank her for her support, hard work and commitment to the local authority and especially for the work she has done at Mount Pleasant Primary. I’m sure you’ll all join me in wishing Mrs Grant a happy and  healthy  retirement. Good luck Mrs Grant, you’ll be missed!

Afterschool clubs start w/b 15^th January 2024

After school clubs will be starting the week beginning 15^th January 2024. Please be aware that many after school clubs have limited numbers.

All clubs run from 3.20pm to 4.00pm. Google Forms will be sent out via text on Friday 12^th January at 4pm, on a first come, first served basis. Class teachers will inform pupils if they have been successful on Monday 15^th January, in readiness for the clubs to begin. Please note that for younger pupils, letters will be sent out to confirm places.
