This week we've been busy perparing for the Eisteddfod so we've been doing lots of Welsh!
We taped our interviews with a famous person and are working on talking about ourselves using the Oracy placemats.
We did poetry recitation and a few brave boys entered the Singing competition.
We did our neatest joined handwriting for another competition and also had to write in the third person in Welsh which was quite tricky!
Some of our work is already on display in the School hall.
We wrote our Space adventure stories and then contacted the author of the book we had read on his website.
Paul Manship replied and answered the questions we had asked. Check out his website at home for more information about other books he has written.
Remember to keep working on the presentations - we'll start listening next week.
There is also a new Alfie test available on the website - check the options when you get to the class webpage.

Literacy
In Literacy we've been reading a new book called The Cube, by Paul Manship. We've been reading some chapters and have started (and some have finished) writing what we
think the next chapter of the story will be!
Maths
In Miss Luckwell's math class this week we have been investigating square roots. On Friday we were in the ICT Suite and we were creating Explain Everythings.
In Mrs Irvine's math class this week we've been doing a mixture of all sorts, including BODMAS (Brackets Orders Division Multiplication Addition Subtraction), ordering
decimals and reflecting and rotating shapes!
ICT
In ICT this week we have been finishing off spreadsheets we have made, showing different features of the planets.
Overall this week we've been doing an awful lot! Can't wait for next week!
